General Guidelines information for Nigerian Navy DSSC requirements

You must be a Nigerian

You are not expected to lie or fake your documents. You will get disqualified and then charged.

To apply, you must have at least a second class. And be able to use the computer.

You must show proof that you are fully registered in your chosen profession in Nigeria.

Candidate with foreign qualifications are to ensure that the Federal Ministry of Education verifies their certificates, and they are to present their qualifications at the chosen attitude test center.

All candidate must have credit including English and Math in their West African Examination Certificate (WAEC) and NECO

Candidate must have their NYSC-Certificate or Exemption-Certificate.

To apply, you should be at least 1.68 meters tall as a man or 1.65 meters tall as a woman.

You must be between the age of 22 and 28 years old. Exception to this are medical officers, who are not expected to exceed 30 years old.

Serving soldiers or other security workers must get their certificates signed by their units head.

Candidates will be required to take an aptitude test through the naval website. Date and time will be communicated.

Centers in Abuja:

  • The Army Day Secondary School is in Mogadishu Barracks.
  • Lungi Barracks’ Command Day Secondary School.

Bauchi Center:

The Shadawanka Barracks Command Day Secondary School.

Abia Center:

The Nigerian Navy College of Accounts and Finance is in Owerrinta, which is in Abia State.

Centers in Lagos:

  • The Nigerian Navy Secondary School is in Navy Town Ojo.
  • Navy Town Public School, Navy Town Ojo.

Centers in Port Harcourt:

  • Secondary School for the Nigerian Navy in Borokiri.
  • The Second School is part of the 115th Special Operations Group at Air Force Base.

The Sokoto Center:

The Army Day Secondary School is in Giginya Barracks.

Things to bring to the Aptitude Test Center

  1. Copies of your degree and your NYSC discharge certificate.
  2. Form for parental or Guardian Consent.
  3. Form of Acknowledgement.
  4. Photocopies of foreign certificates (if any).
