Eligibility of the Job

The minimal education necessary for a new employee to meet the work requirements is Grade 12 High School and a Journeyman Trade Certificate in carpentry or cabinetmaking.

A Class 5 Driver’s Licence is valuable.

Major Work Area

  • Interior and exterior components of the building envelope, as well as room finishes, will be demolished.
  • Installation of millwork and other interior finishes.
  • Knowledge and experience framing with steel studs and drywall.
  • The ability to layout and install many types of ceiling finishes, including suspended ceilings.
  • Construct and install woods for  concrete forms.
